The second Garratt I built is the model of an English industrial garratt 0-4-o + 0-4-0 type (as a narrow gauge version). The prototype engines served at Sneyd Collieries; Vivian and Sons and Bardesdale Collieries. One locomotive has been maintained as "William Francis".
Here is the techinal drawing including measurements:

The axle bases of the frame are wider than the the original ones; they were adapted for the Stainz frames.
Overall length of the model (without buffers) 490mm

I have built a second UK industrial Garratt.
All construction phases will be shown by photo. In case somebody wants a partlist or instructions just send an email.
Everything starts with two Stainz bogies; each equipped with a srew as turnpoint straight above the rear axle. A flat steel is the junction; the modified base of an LGB waggon is fitted underneath and later planked with a polystyrene plate.
The chassis are cut; the pistons are from the LGB american 2-4-0 type. The rear buffer is cut out of the remains of the chassis and fixed at the new front.
This model also went to my second eldest brother - as a gift for his 6oth birthday
